Go Solar and take Control of your Energy Bills!
What Goes into a Solar System?
A rooftop solar system typically has the following components; Solar Panels, Micro-Inverter, Mounting System, Wiring, and Batteries (optional).
Once it's determined if your house is a good candidate for solar, some site prep work may need to be done before your system can be installed. This 'prep-work' includes things like; Repairing or replacing your roof, taking down tall trees that may be blocking the sun, and electrical panel upgrades.
SOLAR PANELS
TIER-1 Monocrystalline Solar Panels capture sunlight and converts it into DC electricity. These High Efficient Panels come with a 25 Year Warranty.
RACKING
Racking is all of the hardware and framework that mounts the solar panels on your rooftop. It's important to go with a racking system that will make your system look great and provide you with the strength to withstand hurricane-force winds.
Battery Backup (optional)
Cutting-edge energy storage system that allows you to store excess energy generated by your solar panels or from the grid during off-peak hours, and use it to power your home or business during times of high energy demand or during a power outage.
Microinverter
The microinverter converts the DC electricity from the solar panels into AC electricity that your home needs. When shopping for microinverters, its recommended to get one that will allow you to add to your system in the future. Most less expensive options require the replacement of this component which could cost thousands.
EV Chargers for your Home (optional)
Home EV chargers are designed to deliver fast, safe, and reliable charging to your electric vehicle. allowing you to fully charge your car in just a few hours.
Whole House Generator (Optional)
Generators provide backup power in the event of a power outage. Keep your lights on, your appliances running, and your family safe and comfortable. We can design a generator to meet your needs, whether you need to power your entire home or just a few essential appliances.
Don't shop by price alone.
All Systems are NOT created equal
Adding Solar to your home is a major home improvement project that will add value to your home. When considering Solar it's best if you educate yourself on the differences in technologies and don't shop on price alone.
The two types of panels commonly used in rooftop solar are monocrystalline and polycrystalline solar cells. The main differences are in their efficiency, appearance, and cost. Monocrystalline cells are more efficient and durable, but also more expensive, while polycrystalline cells are less efficient but more cost-effective.
Monocrystalline solar cells are made from a single, pure crystal of silicon. They have a uniform black color and are highly efficient, with conversion rates of up to 22%. Monocrystalline cells are also more expensive to produce, perform better in low light conditions, and are known for their long lifespan and durability.
Polycrystalline solar cells, on the other hand, are made from multiple crystals of silicon that are melted together. They have a speckled blue color and are less efficient than monocrystalline cells. Polycrystalline cells are less expensive to produce, does not perform well in low light conditions and does not have the life expectancy of Monocrystalline panels.
Considering Going Solar is a "25+ year Decision" Monocrystalline is really the only way to go. By investing a little more now, Tier-1 Monocrystalline Panels will generate more electricity using less space.
